Ingredients:
- 1 lb Ground Italian sausage (Or links, casings removed)
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon freshly minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt*
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 1/2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream**
- 340 grams of uncooked Orecchiette pasta (about 3/4 lb)
- 2 cups chopped fresh spinach
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
- Heat Skillet: Heat a large skillet or dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add sausage and onion. Cook until sausage is browned and onion is softened, about 4-5 minutes.
- Add Seasonings: Add garlic, salt, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add Liquid: Pour in chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the pan. Add cream. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat.
- Cook Pasta: Add uncooked pasta, stir, cover, and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook, stirring often, until al dente, about 10-15 minutes.
- Finish: Stir in spinach and Parmesan. Serve hot.
