Meat Sauce:

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp ground pepper
- 1 28–oz can crushed tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
Pasta:
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 lb pasta (rigatoni or penne)
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- Parmesan cheese and fresh Italian parsley for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Sauté Aromatics: Heat oil in a large pot, add onion, and sauté until translucent. Stir in garlic, Italian seasoning, and tomato paste.
- Cook Beef: Add ground beef, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
- Add Liquid: Pour in crushed tomatoes, beef broth, and water. Bring to a boil.
- Cook Pasta: Add pasta, ensuring it’s covered by the liquid. Simmer until al dente, stirring occasionally.
- Finish: Stir in heavy cream. Serve in bowls, topped with Parmesan and parsley.
