Description

Tender and juicy Honey Garlic Chicken Bites featuring bite-sized chicken pieces seasoned and pan-seared, then cooked in a sweet, sticky sauce with honey, garlic, lemon, soy sauce, and a hint of heat. Ready in about 20 minutes, these bites are perfect served over rice, pasta, or alongside your favorite veggies for a quick and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken & Coating

  • 1.5 pounds chicken breasts, chopped into bite-size pieces
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Sauce & Cooking

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 5-6 cloves garlic, crushed or minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce or sriracha

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Pat the chicken pieces dry with a paper towel. In a large bowl, combine the chicken with the corn starch, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well until all pieces are evenly coated.
  2. Cook the chicken: Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large heavy-duty pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces in a single layer and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until the chicken is cooked through and develops a golden sear.
  3. Make the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, olive oil, honey, lemon juice, soy sauce, and hot sauce or sriracha until well combined.
  4. Combine chicken and sauce: Pour the prepared sauce over the cooked chicken in the pan. Continue cooking for an additional 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky, coating the chicken pieces thoroughly. Cooking longer will result in a thicker, stickier sauce.
  5. Serve: Remove from heat and serve the honey garlic chicken bites hot over rice, pasta, or with steamed or sautéed vegetables for a complete meal.

Notes

  • Tender, juicy chicken bites coated in a flavorful sweet and spicy sauce make this dish an instant favorite.
  • Ensure the chicken pieces are uniformly coated with corn starch for a crispy exterior.
  • Adjust the amount of hot sauce or red pepper flakes according to your preferred spice level.
  • Serve immediately for the best texture; reheating may soften the crispy coating slightly.
  • This dish pairs wonderfully with rice, pasta, or a side of fresh steamed vegetables.
