Simple Syrup:
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup filtered water, cold
Lemonade:
- 1 1/2 cups lemon juice (from 8 medium or 6 large lemons)
- 7 cups filtered water, cold
Instructions
- Make Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup water with 1 1/2 cups sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, cool to room temperature, then refrigerate.
- Prepare Lemon Juice: Squeeze 1 1/2 cups lemon juice using a citrus juicer. Refrigerate until ready.
- Make Lemonade: In a pitcher, combine 7 cups cold water, 1 1/2 cups lemon juice, and 1 1/2 cups chilled sugar syrup. Stir well. Adjust sweetness to taste. Serve over ice.

- For a twist, add mint leaves or a splash of sparkling water.
