For the Ground Beef:
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 medium onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
For the Sauce:
- 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt, adjust to taste
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper, adjust to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Ground Beef: Heat olive oil in a pan, add ground beef and break it into small pieces. Saute with onions and garlic until cooked.
- Prepare the Sauce: Add mushrooms, cook until softened. Stir in flour until combined. Pour in beef broth, whipping cream, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer.
- Finish the Dish: Remove from heat, stir in sour cream. Adjust seasoning if needed. Serve over noodles, rice, or potatoes.
