Ingredients
Scale
Filling
- 2 cups cooked chicken, diced or shredded
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Wraps
- 4 large tortillas
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter, for toasting
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, minced garlic, onion powder, black pepper, and chopped fresh parsley if using. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended and the mixture is creamy.
- Assemble the Wraps: Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spoon a generous portion of the chicken and cheese filling onto the center of the tortilla. Spread the filling slightly, leaving room at the edges. Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll tightly from one end to the other to form a wrap. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
- Toast the Wraps: Heat olive oil or butter in a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down in the pan to secure them. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the bottom side is golden brown and crispy. Carefully flip the wraps and toast the other side for an additional 2 minutes until golden and heated through.
- Serve and Enjoy: Remove the wraps from the skillet and slice each in half diagonally. Serve warm with a fresh salad or your favorite dipping sauce for a complete meal.
Notes
- You can substitute shredded rotisserie chicken for cooked chicken to save time.
- For spicier wraps, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the filling mixture.
- Use whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas if desired.
- If you don’t have cream cheese, a thick Greek yogurt or ricotta cheese can be used as alternatives.
- Fresh parsley adds a bright flavor but can be omitted if unavailable.
- To keep the wraps from becoming soggy, toast them just before serving.
