- 1 Tbsp creamy horseradish sauce
- 1 Tbsp chili sauce (or ketchup)
- 1/2 Tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 Tsp paprika
- 1/4 Tsp cumin
- 1/4 Tsp oregano
- 1/2 Tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 Tsp black pepper (or to taste)
Instructions
- Prepare the Onions: Peel, trim, and slice the onions into thick slices.
- Soak in Buttermilk Mixture: Combine buttermilk and eggs in a bowl, then soak onion slices in the mixture.
- Prepare Breading: Combine flour, cornstarch, and seasonings in another bowl.
- Bread the Onion Petals: Coat onion slices in breading.
- Air Fry: Cook the onion petals in the air fryer until golden brown and softened.
- Prepare Dipping Sauce: Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl.
- Serve: Serve the blooming onion petals hot with the dipping sauce.
